or what makes the MWGSL tick.
14. Nominating Committee,
The President will appoint the Nominating Committee at the May meeting. The Nominating
Committee will present at least one candidate for each elected position at the June meeting.
The committee will poll current officers and coordinators to determine if they are interested
in continuing their service. The Chairperson will present the nominees to the membership
who may add Nominations from the floor. The nominees will be voted upon at the June meeting.
The new officers will take office on September 1st at 12:00 A.M.
15. Gym Space Coordinator,
a. Will go to the fall MWCSD building use meeting with the CC and fill out the proper paperwork to secure gym space as determined by the board.
b. After gym space has been assigned they shall devise a method of
gym use for the league whether it is open space or clinics or scheduled
times for teams from the previous
year.
The following tasks #’s 16 thru 22, would fall under the
Registrars oversight, and are self explanatory.
16. Mail meeting postcards to Managers,
17. Registration Fliers, (print, count and deliver to
schools),
18. Mail Registration forms home to last years players,
19. Registration Poster & Signs,
20. Registration Newspaper adds,
21. Registration info channels,
22. Registration Table Sitting,
23. Sponsors, team, special events, tournament,
a. Revise sponsor forms and mail or deliver to community businesses to solicit team sponsors for the current year and any special events that may be planned. Fees shall be determined by the Budget and Finance committee.
24. Fundraising,
a. As needed for tournament teams , Hank Werner Scholarship Fund or equipment.
25. Photgrapher,
a. To take pictures throughout the year for Web site or slideshows.
26. Newsletter,
27. Trophies,
a. A volunteer to compile a list or awards and trophies for the season and purchase and arrange for pick up as needed.
28. Field Maintenance,
a. A list of volunteers that is willing to help get fields in order so games can be played if rain has had an adverse effect on the fields.
b. A field crew chief may be appointed to coordinate the recruitment of man and or women power to accomplish this task.
29. Scheduling,
a.
30. Clinics &Training,
a. A volunteer to coordinate teaching our players how to catch, throw, field, bat, pitch and learn the rules involved in the sport of softball.
31. Equipment,
a. This task falls under the responsibilities of the business manager. He shall have the ability to recruit help as needed to make sure that all teams have the proper equipment and any help needed to distribute or pick up same.
